Happy 22nd Anniversary to us!

It's hard to believe it's been 22 years - we haven't changed a bit!

Mike planned a surprise day for us to celebrate together - we started out at the spa with a couples massage...

And then rode the skyliner for a while...

We ended the day at Topolino - the new Restaurant at Disney's new Riviera Resort...the food, service and views were just amazing!

It was a perfect day!

We started the season out right with a family day out to see the Nutcracker:)

It was our first Christmas spoiling our favorite boy...

We squeezed in a quick visit to say goodbye to the puppies before they go to their adoptive homes:)

We had a great day and evening with Jen, Rich and Mya - the board games were intense!!

We had a wonderful Christmas party at Rita's again this year:)

Despite Rita's (first) selfie showing she was still wearing her hat well into the evening, Eileen had the most Christmas cheer this year and went to bed in hers. Nice work ladies!

Snowball Express

Each December, the Gary Sinise Foundation hosts a five-day experience for 1,750+ children of fallen military and their surviving parent or guardian. As a therapeutic retreat with a blend of fun and inspiring programs, these families can lean on their peers for support. The event, Snowball Express was held once again this year here at Walt Disney World Resort! (more details here)

In order to provide these families with an unforgettable experience cheering Cast Members greet them as they make their way down Main St. in Magic Kingdom to the Castle to meet Mickey.

So Mike and I got up at 4am to take part this year...

Here are Gary Sinise and Mickey performing the welcome ceremony...

It was incredibly moving and like nothing I've ever experienced before. I swear we cried a river. Gary Sinise is such an inspiration and it's good to remember the Disney magic too. I'll definitely be thinking more of others this Christmas:)

Cross Stitching like a maniac

I've definitely aced my goal to spend more time being creative this year! Cross stitching is so relaxing and it took me about 200 hours and over 5 months to complete this piece but I have loved every second of it. Very proud of myself!!

Sisters Disney Cruise!

Gail and I took a Xmas themed Disney cruise to the Bahamas while she was visiting. We left on the Magic from Miami, the same ship Mike and I were on this Summer!

On the first night we went to the cute Xmas tree lighting ceremony...

And on our first day we docked at Castaway Cay where we spent the day drinking cocktails at Serenity Bay - the Adults-Only beach:)

We saw a curly-tailed lizard...:)

Gail actually won at the fantastically fun Disney Bingo!

And at night we loved the pirate show and fireworks:)

The next day we went on our first glass-bottomed boat tour of Nassau and took a walk around the town too...

And then headed back to the Adults-only pool for some more cocktails:)
