It’s my Half-Century!

May has been a really good month as masks are dropped outside (and inside if you are vaccinated) and things are really feeling so much more normal now! I celebrated my big birthday swimming with dolphins at Discovery Cove which was such a special treat:) 

Our weekends feel more normal now too with little day trips out like this one to Mount Dora...

And Maddy is continuing to build relationships at her work which she really loves...

Cheers to the end of this awful time and now to make up for lost time and go on Holiday! 

Mike’s half century :)

To celebrate Mike's 50th we took a Disney Cruise (on the Magic again:)) to the Bahamas...I had the stateroom decorated for the birthday boy:)

Of course we had been a little nervous with the whole COVID virus thing hitting the headlines every day during the week before, so we were relieved to finally sail away from Miami with no way to change our minds!

 

We arrived in Nassau in the morning and walked around the town to learn a bit more about Bahamian history. The Pompey Museum was so interesting and moving...

Back on the ship we enjoyed the adult-only bars, pool and entertainment - the silent disco was our favorite!

We managed to get up and run the Castaway Cay 5K!

And spent the rest of the day walking and relaxing on the beach:)

Our last day was at sea and so we lazed around on the ship and in the spa:)

No quarantine and we are back at home ready for the next celebration for the birthday boy!

Celebration Weekend!

To celebrate my Birthday and Mother's Day we had a great weekend with the Simards:). We also went over to Zoo Tampa (at Lowry Park) to check out where Maddy is interning this Summer...

But you know where I'd want to work all day...

Maddy and I signed up for the Penguin Encounter - it was so cute!

Happy Birthday Michael!

It was really nice to have Zoe and Zach here for Mike's birthday:). We all went over to Crystal River to see if we could see any manatee before the season ends. It was lovely just to be out on the water in the Florida sun...

We got really lucky and not only got to see several, but one in particular was really friendly and came over to interact with the group. He was such a show off - rolling over and chewing on the divers' masks!

After he was done and swam away, we went snorkling in the spring. I love this group shot!

And then Maddy got up close and personal with this one on the swim back to the boat:)

What an amazing day!

Maddy's 16th B-day!

Last month we celebrated Maddy's 16th birthday! Jen, Rich and Mya came over for the celebrations and Maddy spent the big day at the Happiest Place on Earth :)

In the evening we had a major chocolate fest...

The girls just love together time...
