Pumpkin Time

It's Halloween on Tuesday so we bought our pumpkin today. Maddy cleaned it out with Michael and I did the carving. We were really proud of our 'Goodnight Moon' creation! It was great to sit out back by our new fire pit eating pumpkin pie, pumpkin seeds and listening to Maddy's scary stories. Can't wait for the big day on Tuesday!

Brownie Scouts

Maddie started Brownie Scouts last Monday. She loves the girls in her troop and I love the fact that she has to earn her dues by doing chores around the house!

The Next American Supermodel?

We went shopping at the weekend to get stocked up for the fall since Maddie seems to have grown out of everything. We got some new clothes and she put on a fashion show when we got home. As you can see, she looks so old in her new wardrobe. In fact, this is the first time that she has shown any interest in fashion. She loved posing for the pictures!

Maddy Turns Seven!

Maddy turned seven on Thursday! Jen, Rich and Mya came over on the day itself and we had a cake at home and opened gifts that we had received from England. We had a great night and the girls finished up with the 'Cha Cha slide'!
On Saturday, we had Maddy's Cosmic Bowling party. Ten minutes before we got started Michael caught his finger in part of the alley and had a nasty cut on his finger. He braved out the party and self medicated with some Budweiser until we could take a proper look and get him bandaged up. Fortunately, it's healing up now!
Maddy had lots of toys and loved the party (including more Cha Cha slides). Thank you to all of our wonderful family and friends for making it such a special day for her!
