Guns N' Roses at the HOB

The GNR show was totally amazing last night! For some reason they are touring a bunch of really small venues so we were excited to get our hands on tickets for House of Blues at Downtown Disney which only has a capacity of about a thousand people. OK so it's really only Axl Rose but in my mind- that's really all you need ;) Slash was great and all but even I can do Sweet Child O' Mine on Guitar Hero so how hard can it be? And I got 5 stars on Medium once...

Anyway, he may have turned 50 last week but Axl still gives a really high energy performance. His attitude is still completely out of control so he didn't even hit the stage until 12:20am for a 9pm show. We were surprised by just how good he still is though and it went on and on and on...for three hours!

Cameras were banned of course and they had a whole squad of people doing full checks before we went in. I'm glad the ol' "hide the camera in the boot and make a distracting joke while you're being patted down" trick still works after 20 years...

Mum and Dad's visit

Well this is a first! In 15 years we haven't had Gail and Mum and Dad here at the same time! We went to the Tavern to celebrate :)

At the weekend we went out so that I could get carb'ed up for the big race in the morning (running stuff here!)

We went to magical Magic Kingdom - it was gorgeous...

And on H's favorite ride - It's a Small World...aaawww ya big softie :)

Gail's Birthday Trip!

We were so thrilled that my sister Gail came to celebrate her very special 50th birthday (on Valentine's Day) with us! We went for a beautiful walk through Celebration on the night she arrived and saw some of our neighbors...

Gail's first Superbowl and a win for the Giants too! Yep - it's time for champagne...!

We spent Valentine's night and Gail's big day at the House of Blues...:)

Mum and Dad get here tomorrow so that the whole family can celebrate in Celebration! 

Animal Kingdom!

We had a bunch of stuff to get done today so we decided to blow it all off and go to Animal Kingdom instead ;). I had only been there once before I think so I had completely forgotten what a great place it is to visit. We had a total blast...

Giants game at the Disney Boardwalk!

We went to the Disney's BoardWalk at the weekend to watch the big Giants game at the ESPN bar. There are 52 screens (including one in every bathroom stall:)) and it was completely packed!

Disney's BoardWalk is designed after the boardwalks that were famous during the turn of the 20th century along northeastern coastal cities such as Coney Island, New York and Atlantic City, New Jersey.

It was great to catch up with Darren!

After the Giants victory we went to the English pub at Epcot to grab a beer.

It doesn't matter how many times I see the Epcot fireworks - it just doesn't get old. And what a perfect way to celebrate victory. Go Giants!
