It's hard to believe that we are still in the middle of this pandemic and yet life goes on. We had to say goodbye to our precious Chloe this month...

And we have started building and refurbishing doll houses which we will be donating to local children's homes hopefully soon... 

So far...

Longboat Key

Restaurants, hotels and beaches are now open so we squeezed in a little weekend break to Longboat Key - one of our favorite (quiet) spots in Florida:). Our room was right on the beach... 

...so we got to explore whenever we liked without getting within 6 feet of anyone!

And those sunsets...

In the morning we went to the park on the other side to see the sunrise...

And the manatee...

We went to the park too...

We had a relaxing, nature-filled, relaxing time - exactly what we needed:)

Opening up a little...

Things are continuing to open up here in Florida and now we can even have small gatherings. So we were able to go over to see Eileen for her 40th which was so nice:)

And we have continued with our nature walks - we saw this impressive guy the other day...

And did the trail at Lake Apopka on foot. It was just gorgeous and full of wildlife!

Back to Nature:)

We've been able to walk in nature every day since the virus hit here in Florida fortunately:). But it's been particularly nice to have access to some of our old trails again as things are starting to open up now. We spent my birthday (and Mother's Day!) at the Oakland Nature Preserve which was so good for the soul!

More Coronavirus...

It's so hard to believe that we are still in lockdown...But life goes on and we have still had some fun over the past 6 weeks or so...

...Professor is still a big mush...

I've rediscovered my love for jigsaws....

And for Easter we went to see Rita as always!

And we've had some guests at the house ;)

And I still love my zumba classes online - in fact Mike's joining me now!

One more month I think and this will all be a bizarre memory...
