Might for Right!

Madison received her second stripe on her white belt at karate today. She had to do a front punch, back punch, front kick, back kick and side kick to pass. Mr. Heimberger commended Madison for her focus and hard work. Well done Maddy!

Night Night Pop Pop

Death is nothing at all
I have only slipped away into the next room
I am I and you are you
whatever we were to each other
that we still are
call me by my old familiar name
speak to me in the easy way
which you always used
put no difference in your tone
wear no air of solemnity or sorrow
laugh as we always laughed
at the little jokes we enjoyed together
pray, smile, think of me, pray for me
Let my name be ever the household word
that it always was
Let it be spoken without effort
without the trace of a shadow in it
Life means all that it ever meant
it is the same as it ever was
there is unbroken continuity
why should I be out of mind
because I am out of sight?
I am waiting for you
somewhere very near
just around the corner
All is well
"I am glad that we all know each other"

Digging for Treasure....

Madison received a letter from her friend Justice a couple of weeks ago that was very exciting. Turns out, Justice found a real treasure map in the bushes by his house. It appears that there is treasure buried at the back of his grandma's house! Since he had a birthday coming up, he thought it would be a great idea to invite his friends over to help him dig for the treasure at his party. A real pirate was there to help the kids with their quest....

Getting ready to go with Lindsay...

Is it down here?

X marks the spot!

Sharing out the loot... can I get a diamond back here?

Look at my treasure!

What a great party!
