Lake Louisa

The weather has been absolutely idyllic these past few weeks now that Summer is officially over:). Our weekend nature walks are even lovelier than usual; between the climate and the run up to the Holidays - this is definitely my favorite time of the year in Florida. We decided to check out Lake Louisa State Park this weekend. Maddy hasn't been very well lately so we thought we'd take it easy with a nice relaxing canoe ride. On the way over, we stopped at the world's biggest Hidden Mickey tucked away behind some orange groves. Check out that orange sand!

If you Googlemap it, you can see it's a tight group of pines in the middle of some regular trees...

Not sure how it ended up here about 30 minutes outside Disney World but it's back there right behind me...how bizarre!

It costs about $15 for a canoe and kayak for 2 hours on Lake Louisa. And it's gorgeous - they could seriously charge a lot more! Mike did most of the work while I took a lot of selfies...

I managed to get a family selfie on the water!

It was just what Maddy needed...
