After 5 and a half looooong days with no contact, we finally got to go and pick up Maddy from camp! She had the best time and tried out lots of new activities. Like yoga...
Swimming and Tubing in the lake...
Archery and Pioneering...
Rock climbing and Zip-lining !?:)...
Performing...
And, of course making new 'biffles' (BFFLs)...
She loved her camp counselor, Jess, who dressed as a cow (it was Western week) the whole time. Even in the pool :). Maddy wants to be a camp counselor just like her one day...
There was a special ceremony for the parents when we went to pick her up. Each group shared their camp cheers - even the little ones :)...
So cute! And then they shared a fantastic powerpoint with pictures from the whole week. If you have a few minutes - take a look. Not sure why it makes me so emotional but I cry every time I watch it. Maddy is in a few of the pictures but regardless, it's so beautiful to see the impact of this amazing experience on all of these children. Camp Wewa is totally incredible and I'm not sure that Maddy will ever forget it:)
